I LOVE TO TRAVEL! I always have. For my 5th birthday my grandfather told me he would send me a ticket to come visit him. So when the big day arrived, apparently I called him and asked him where my ticket was. I flew from Detroit to Ft. Lauderdale by myself. And came home with a Winnie the Pooh bear as big as I was that sat on the seat next to me on the airplane.
Being born in Orlando and having family in Florida, I have been visiting Walt Disney World almost since it opened. I have experienced Disney as a child visiting with my parents and grandparents. As a graduate of the University of Florida I have visited as a college student, I have visited as an adult with my now husband, and I have been making yearly trips with my children.
My favorite time to visit Walt Disney World is the fall- Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and the Food and Wine Festival at EPCOT. I joke that my favorite ride at Disney is the Hurricane, since we were at Disney for hurricane Irma in 2017 and Dorian in 2019. Best time anyhow!
I am also a planner. I love planning trips and vacations! It started with trips to Europe with friends then US destinations with family, and now frequent Disney trips with my kids and parents.
As a native to Orlando, I know the area and about Florida in general. I can make recommendations for activities and restaurants both in Orlando, the surrounding areas (can you say trip to the beach!!?), and of course, Disney.
In addition to planning Orlando destination vacations, I am a full-time Office Manager for a contracting company, Girl Scout leader (and Troop Cookie Manager) and mom of a middle school daughter and high school son.
